The 4 times table, from 4 × 1 to 4 × 10, and tips to remember it.

  • 4 × 1 = 4
  • 4 × 2 = 8
  • 4 × 3 = 12
  • 4 × 4 = 16
  • 4 × 5 = 20
  • 4 × 6 = 24
  • 4 × 7 = 28
  • 4 × 8 = 32
  • 4 × 9 = 36
  • 4 × 10 = 40

Tips

  • Multiplying by 4 is doubling twice: 4 × 7 is 7, then 14, then 28.
  • Each result is double the one in the 2 times table: 2 × 6 = 12, so 4 × 6 = 24.

Out of order

Once you can recite the table in order, quiz yourself at random: 4 × 6, 4 × 9, 4 × 4… That’s how it’s used in mental math. The Multiplication mode trains it as you play, alone or with a friend.
