3 times table
The 3 times table, from 3 × 1 to 3 × 10, and tips to remember it.
- 3 × 1 = 3
- 3 × 2 = 6
- 3 × 3 = 9
- 3 × 4 = 12
- 3 × 5 = 15
- 3 × 6 = 18
- 3 × 7 = 21
- 3 × 8 = 24
- 3 × 9 = 27
- 3 × 10 = 30
Tips
- Count in threes: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15… For 3 × 7, start from 3 × 5 = 15 and add 3 twice: 21.
- The digits of a result add up to a number that’s in the table too: 27 gives 2 + 7 = 9, 24 gives 6.
Out of order
Once you can recite the table in order, quiz yourself at random: 3 × 6, 3 × 9, 3 × 4… That’s how it’s used in mental math. The Multiplication mode trains it as you play, alone or with a friend.
